Outdoor Patio Fire Pit

Our clients wanted a large entertaining space that would accommodate an outdoor fire pit, table and chairs, and was aesthetically pleasing when viewed from inside their Edina home.

We used a Chilton Flagstone path for a natural look that blends in with the existing wooded site. A tumbled paver was used for a weathered look and feel.

The patio and wood fire pit are surrounded with natural native shrubs that provide season-long interest. The witch hazel provides great fall color and the snowberry has wonderful pink berries that add small pops of color to the patio fire pit area. We also used a selection of rhododendrons to capitalize on spring color.

The plants chosen were picked from a pallet of shade tolerant plants. The entrance of the path is packed full of violets to provide vibrant color. The shrubs located around the patio also soften the formal pattern of the brick fire pit.
