Pergola and Waterfall Landscape Design

Our client in Eden Prairie wanted an intimate outdoor entertaining area suitable for large groups that incorporated a waterfall. They stressed the importance of framing the view to the lake as well as having a view to the waterfall from inside the house.

We built a pergola that attached to the house extending over the upper level of the patio and created three main seating areas that were each intimate but could also be transformed into a larger open entertaining space. Lush plantings surround the patio and waterfall to soften the architectural elements. Soft lighting was used to accentuate but not overwhelm the patio areas. Views to the lake could be seen from every area on the patio.
